Maxion İnci Wheel Group has become the first company in Turkey to take a step for Industry 4.0 in partnership with the Bosch Group. Aiming to transform all of its manufacturing plants into ‘smart digital factories', Maxion İnci Wheel Group has completed a total of 46 projects in different manufacturing processes in Manisa sites so far.

Maxion İnci Wheel Group continues its digitalization efforts, started in the 2000s, with the cooperation of Bosch Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of services and technologies in an increasing way.

Mr. Daniel Korioth, President of Bosch Turkey and the Middle East has also attended the meeting  held by Maxion İnci Wheel Group in Manisa to discuss the results obtained and progress achieved in Digital Transformation project, and also the status of field application processes and to exchange ideas on the required phases for their continuation.

In addition to its production and sales activities in the industrial sector in Turkey, Bosch has shared its experiences in its own digitalization processes with industrial corporations in Turkey since 2016 and formed a partnership with Maxion İnci Wheel Group in 2017 with digital transformation-oriented consultancy activity.

Exceptional efficiency with smart digital business processes

Mustafa Zaim, President of Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş and Member of the Maxion Wheels Global Leadership Board made following statements on the project: “As Maxion İnci Wheel Group, we believe that a human-oriented digitalization culture makes corporations more durable. In today's world where competition and costs are on the rise and systems are becoming ever more complex, efficient manufacturing plays a much more important role for sustainability. It is accomplished with the establishment of data-based systems with digital transformation and the integration of these systems with each other. From this point of view, we can say that data is the essence of and raw material for digital transformation. What we are achieving with digital transformation is actually to build an ecosystem. It is becoming more important to develop partnerships and new business models in this established ecosystem. We are not improving the existing game with digital transformation, we are aiming to radically change the game and we are the ones creating a new game. In this respect, we started to yield fruitful results of our partnership with Bosch. In addition to our activities with Bosch Group, we have completed a total of 46 projects up to date in numerous fields such as traceability, virtual reality, image processing and artificial intelligence, digitalization of maintenance processes, predictive maintenance, quality applications, and robotic process automation applications. Thus, we can now view and analyze all the data on products and achieve optimization by even transferring data on the quality of products to former and subsequent lines while they are moving through the production line, and by giving instructions for the future. The pilot line of our aluminum plant is fully operating with artificial intelligence in the status of a smart plant. As a Group, we are among the top five of the 100 best companies in Turkey in integration and field applications. We aim to transform all of our businesses into smart digital businesses covering all processes until 2025.”

Zaim also added “With their synergy, Bosch and Maxion teams taking part in this project have performed quite successful applications, which we ourselves have witnessed in the field. I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and thanks to everyone who have contributed. I also would like to express my special thanks to the management of Bosch for their unwavering support since the beginning of the process.”

Maxion İnci Aluminum has been offered a special digital software solution

In his speech, Daniel Korioth, President of Bosch Turkey and Middle East, said:  “As Bosch, we are so glad to be in Turkey and support the digitalization of the industry. We are providing efficiency-oriented digital transformation project support to our esteemed business partners all across Turkey. And the first one of them is Maxion İnci Wheel Group. This privilege takes our partnership to a very different and special level. Another important characteristic of this project is that an international team consisting of experts from Germany, India and Turkey supports the consultancy activities."

Korioth stated that they offered a 100% company-specific digital software solution for the plant of Maxion İnci Wheel Group located in Manisa and that this solution was designed to operate in both the cloud and the company's local information infrastructure in a hybrid structure. Korioth said, "At this point where we reached today, we are extremely happy with our progress in which Bosch software solutions have been implemented on the pilot line" and added they believe that in the next steps, the company will make a sustainable development by strengthening its competitive structure globally and locally with data analytics solutions.

Despite the difficult conditions resulting from the pandemic, the project was successfully implemented with the dedicated efforts of both companies.
